Goods and Services

At McHenry funeral Homes, we provide many different options of our services.  Below you will find a partial list of them.  To see our goods, please make an appointment and we'd be glad to help you find exactly what you are looking for.


The goods and services shown are those we can provide to our customers.  You may choose only the items you desire.  however, any funeral arrangements that you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead.  If legal or other requirements mean you must buy items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.


Professional Services

Basic Services of funeral director/staff

Our services include: conducting the arrangements conference; planning the funeral; consulting with the family and clergy; sheltering of remains; preparing and filling of necessary notices; obtaining necessary authorizations and permits; coordinating with the cemetery, crematory, or other third parties.  In addition, this fee includes a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs.  This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of funeral arrangements you select.  (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding, or receiving remains.)

 

Embalming Normal Remains

Except in certain special cases, embalmings not required by law.  Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing.  if you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose and arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

 

Embalm/Autopsied or donation remain

Embalming Autopsied remains or organ donation remains.

 

Other Preparation of the Body

Cosmetology, grooming and dressing, preparing for viewing.

 

Restoration of remains (per hour)

Restoration of remains (when necessary, per hour charge).  This requires an additional fee to embalming, or other preparation of the body.

 

Alternate Care of Remains

Bathing and surface disinfection, for identification prior to: cremation, immediate burial or donation.

  • Use of facilities and staff for viewing

  • Use of facilities and staff for funeral ceremony

  • Use of facilities and staff for memorial service

  • Use of Equipment and staff for church service (at Church or other facility)

  • Use of equipment and staff for graveside service (at cemetery or other facility)

  • Supervision of Disposition - Cemetery (at cemetery or other facility)

  • Use of facilities for refrigeration of remains.

Transportation

  • Transfer of remains to funeral home

  • Transportation of remains to crematory

  • Hearse

  • Pall bearer vehicle

  • Lead or Service Vehicle

Merchandise

  • Caskets

  • Out Burial Containers

  • Acknowledgement Cards

  • Air shipping Trays
